Ivan Serchuk chairs the Firm’s Banking and Financial Institutions Practice Group. During the course of his distinguished career, Mr. Serchuk has served as Deputy Superintendent and Counsel to the New York State Banking Department, Special Counsel to the New York State Senate Banks Committee, law clerk to U. S. District Court Judge Frederick vanPelt Bryan and on the Board of Directors of several banks.
Mr. Serchuk specializes in bank regulatory matters but also has extensive experience in the mergers and acquisitions, corporate, employment and commercial lending areas. He has lectured for the Practicing Law Institute and to various trade associations and is frequently quoted in the financial press on current banking issues. Mr. Serchuk is a graduate of Columbia University Law School (L.L.B.) and Columbia College (B.A.).
